It is a water-based gel that helps in transmitting sound waves between the ultrasound probe and the patient’s skin. It is hypoallergenic, does not irritate the skin. It is water soluble. It is easy to clean, does not contain oil and oily substances. It does not contain formaldehyde and salt. It has no toxic effect, odorless, suitable for all skin types.
